Career Goals
My professional goals after graduation are to work as a professor, researcher and teacher trainer. I am planning to return to Colombia and share with others the knowledge and skills that I have acquired during my graduate studies. In Colombia, there are only three Master’s programs, thirty-seven post-graduate diploma courses and no doctoral programs in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education. I hope to be able to contribute to the expansion of the field of ICT in Education in Colombia.
As a Fulbright scholar, I will continue to network and collaborate with researchers in the United States as well as promote cultural understanding. I am looking forward to serving as a mentor for new Colombian Fulbrighters and supporting the initiatives of the Fulbright commission in my home country.
I was unable to find faculty positions in online databases in Colombia. However, I found three job posts in the U.S. that could potentially be a good fit for my interests. These sample jobs give me some insights into the type of qualifications and professional skills that I ought to possess to be a competitive candidate in the job market.
